It is a small oval shaped berry loaded with sugar. As a kid, we picked it from the bush for its sweetness. One bite provides enough sugar for tea, garri, akamu without added sugar. And the taste persisted almost all day. Always wondered why this fruit has not been synthesized into a natural sweetener.
